Fathers Day

Started out picking up Eric from my dads house. Wished dad a happy fathers day. We went to church. The worship team is really undergoing some major changes with people leaving. Eric, Derek, and Dave did a great job. It tough but they will manage. After church, we attended the car show at church. We saw some great cars and enjoyed a hot dog and pop. We had a great server at the hot dog wagon. Shelby did a great job. Pastor Kris little girl. We spent the rest of PM fish(too hot fish didnt want to bite) and swimming.

Busy

Its been a few days since I posted. I have been busy with work. Services at FFC have really been good. I just wish I had heard the sermon on Parenthood 17 years ago. Pastor Kris is just a super pastor with a great ability to share God's word and vision. The worship teams have been really good. There are many changes on the horizon at FFC and I just excited to be part of a church that refuses to coast.

Busy

Last week was busy. It kept me away from blog. I attended an Incident Command course at Grissom Air Force Base. It was a three on course on how to command a large disaster. Church was great this weekend. Eric and Tim were the only two guitar players this week. (Derek had week off). They sounded great. Worship on Saturday and Sunday was just filled with the Holy Spirit.

Mothers Day we spent at church and fishing. Caught a lot of fish. Tammy enjoyed the day. I lost my mom about 17 years ago, so that made yesterday kind of difficult.

Change of Plans

I took the day off yesterday in hopes of going to Indy to try out for Deal or No Deal Show. After viewing the mayheim of TV, I decided against it. So, Tammy and I went fishing. I caught the largest bluegill I have ever seen. It weighed about two pounds. They we came home and did some babysitting for two great boys. The family situation not very good. We had a blast. We top the day off by taking them to the playground at the church. Man, I am out of shape. The boys are age 3 and 2 and full of energy.

Great Weekend

What a great weekend. Saturday night service at Farmland Friends Church was great. The worship team was very good. Tommy and Paul can really make a guitar sing. Eric is getting better and better(proud dad speaking). I want to thank Tim Mills for being a great mentor to Eric. Pastor Kris had a great message with very good visuals.

Sunday was good. Eric didnt have to play Sunday morning service. So we did a family breakfast and went fishing. Sunday afternoon was growth group. I lead our group. We have been studying the Book of Revelations. The meal was interesting. I issued a challenge for everyone to fix something they have never fixed before, everyones food was great. The discussion and fellowship was great as usual. We have a great group. Those not associated with a growth group need to join one.

A Start

This is my first post into the world of blogging. Just to tell you a little about me. I am a Christ follower. I attend a great church (Farmland Friends), with a great team of Pastors. My son plays in the Worship Bands. I been married for 16 1/2 years to a wonderful person, Tammy. I have two sons, Shane 21, and Eric 16. I work for Randolph County as the Emergency Management Director, and for the health department as emergency response coordinator. I am a volunteer fireman in Farmland and in my spare time (lol) I enjoy coaching jr. high basketball at Monroe Central.

I hope to share life with my writings.
