Time for some b-ball
Returned Sunday night from dropping Shane off at Barclay. What a trip. 15-16 hrs one way. The town and college is very small. I think this will benefit Shane. Already one pick up game of basketball on Saturday night. Pictures of Barclay above.
Spent all day Monday (after long trip) and Tuesday at hospitals with my dad. He has leukemia. It is a treatable and curable from. Praise God!!!!! Ready to catch up on some rest.

Tears!!!!!!!!
Tears of joy. For letting your son embark on a journey that God has led him to. Tears of pain. What I am witnessing now in our hotel room in El Dodrado KS. Mom (tammy) ( and Dad) is having a little harder time with Shanes journey than we thought. Mom says it so far from home. I wish I could post photos. Barclay College is located in a town smaller than Farmland.
Shane got thru the red tape and moved into a house. A game of basketball was already planned to begin after supper. We said our good byes about 4:30PM and tears are still flowing at 9PM. A quick prayer would be great.

Going to Missouri
Leaving for Branson, Mo. on Thursday to pick up Shane. He has completed his discipleship focus. I dont think he will be home long. He was accepted at Barclay College in Kanas. This is same college that Pastor Kris, Pastor James, Pastor Tonya, Tammy Sorensen, Ronn and Yvette Oren attended. There maybe more from FFC that attended Barclay. He may also get to play basketball. He will befirst to play sports in college in our family. Everyone I have spoke to about Shane's chance to attend Barclay are very excited. They say it will be life changing. A big thanks to Pastor James.

Its Hard Sometimes
I have been in the fire service for about 20years. After yesterday you wonder sometimes how we get through somethings we see and have to deal with. Yesterday our dept. responded to a call where a two year old boy was ran over by riding lawnmower. He was severely injured and flown to Childrens Hospital in Cincinnati. I wasnt one of the persons who treated the little guy, but three of the guys who did have a tough time dealing with it. Just pray for the family, and the firemen, some who attend FFC.
